Charlize Theron UN Ambassador of Peace

Charlize Theron the lovely and one of our most favorite heroines of Hollywood get a new role – not in a movie, but for the United Nations. Oscar-winning artist Charlize Theron has been made a messenger of peace by United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. The 33 years old actress will be formally appointed on Monday in a ceremony in New York City. The secretary general said in his statement Friday that,
“You have used your voice, compassion and special relationship with the public to create a better world.”
The South African born actress, who won an Academy Award for her part as serial killer Eileen Wuornos in the 2003 film Monster, now will have an unusual focus on ending violence against women. Theron was renowned for her support of social issues, which is including the making of a project aimed at promoting HIV/AIDS learning in South Africa, where now American citizen was born and raised. A special significance with her that, when she was 15, she witnessed her mother fatally shoots her father in self-defense when he attacked her. So she has real great sympathy for the topics of violence against women. The new role that will he play is involve with the visits to country’s with poor records of women’s rights and will see her promoting efforts to end violence against women. The Oscar winner actress has already been officially inducted into the position and will bond other super celebrities such as the princess of Jordan and Hollywood stars George Clooney and Michael Dougals in promoting the UN’s goals.
After her appointing, she will be the UN’s 10th peace envoy. And everybody is waiting to see that, how their favorite actress performs in her new role.
