Grammy award winner Welsh singer-songwriter Aimée Anne Duffy (born 23, June 1984) had never dreamt of being a singer as she was very shy in her childhood. Duffy said, ‘As a kid, I never wanted to be a singer – I was far too shy – but I needed a way of externalizing my thoughts and singing was one of the best options to say what I believed in.’ she added ‘I used to be a good swimmer so if not a singer, I would have been a swimmer.’ The singer is professionally known as Duffy.
Her debut album Rockferry was released in March 2008. That time the album got the number one position at UK Album Chart. In 2008 it was the best selling album in the United Kingdom. She has already established herself on the world music scene. Recently the 24 years old pop star had revealed that she would like to swap her retro 60s sound and want to make a more modern record. She wants to be more popular than ever.
