sushmita_sen1Former Miss Universe and Indian actress Sushmita Sen recently has been offered the role of Pakistan’s powerful politician and former lady Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto (21 June 1953 – 27 December 2007) by two well-known Pakistani film producers Zaid Aziz and Henna Rai.

Benazir was assassinated during an election campaign by extremist groups last year. The film, a biopic of the slain leader, would be a bilingual film and a joint venture by Vox Vision and Sum Films. The film will be made in both English and Urdu and shot generously in both Pakistan and England.

Rumor has it that, Sush is working hard for her character. Now she is reading up comprehensively on the life of Benzir Bhutto; moreover, she is working on her Urdu diction, the way Benazir delivered. Additionally, she tries to meet some people close to Benazir to know something personally more about the leader so that she can portrait Benazir’s role perfectly in the film. Once upon time Sushmita declared her weakness for historical character and period flicks. And this offer is considered as the big achievement in her life time.

Sushmita was born on 19, November 1975 in a Bengali family in Hyderabad, India. Her father, former Indian Air Force Wing Commander, Shubeer Sen and mother Subhra Sen who worked as a fashion artist and jewelry designer. She already won Miss India title and Miss Universe Contest. Her first movie was Dastak and it was released in 1996. In her carrier she has delivered few hit films and achieved a few award but her last few films unable to hit on box office. So it is expected that at least the new film will raise her popularity in Bollywood again.
