November 24th, 2008 admin Others 0

u2-towerApparently exhausted of both rock’n'roll and international politicking makes boringness to the U2 members. Now U2 are preparing to enlarge their range of activities by erecting a skyscraper in Dublin, which will be called the U2 Tower.

One of the world famous rock band U2 formed in 1976 when the members were teenagers with limited musical proficiency. By the mid of 1980s, the band had turn out to be a top worldwide act for Bono’s passionate vocals, and The Edge’s textural guitar in playing. U2 have sold more than 140 million albums in the world and have won 22 Grammy Awards which is more than any other band. Now well-experienced U2 extend their activities, they are not only bound in their musical performance. Bono and the other U2 guys have been forced to scrap plans to build Ireland’s first skyscraper because of the crap state of the global markets. The plan was projected to cost 256.8 million dollar. The U2 Tower will develop through the participation of Bono and other members of the Irish rock band. U2 Tower will have a recording studio for the band at the top. Foster and Partners, the consortium’s architects have proposed a 430 ft mixed-use tower on the landmark site at the convention point of the River Liffey, the River Dodder and the Grand Canal.

After the construction of U2 tower, it will be the tallest tower in Ireland.
